Michael joined Talbot Hughes McKillop in February 2008 and has over ten years experience working in both strategic advisory and restructuring. His experience spans both multinationals and domestic businesses, based in the UK, Europe and North America.

Major Experiences
A law graduate, Michael began his career as a management consultant working with complex strategic and operational issues across a variety of sectors. During this time he acted as both adviser and interim manager to several client organisations.
Michael joined the delisted Energis Communications in May 2003 and held several key management positions in this successful turnaround, which resulted in the sale to Cable & Wireless plc in November 2005.
Major Recent Projects
- Adviser to the board of Real Estate Opportunities plc, a FTSE listed property group, on its £1 billion financial restructuring.
- Adviser to the board of Bakkavör, a multinational manufacturer of fresh prepared foods, on its £300 million financial restructuring.
- Adviser to the board of Eimskip, a listed Icelandic shipping and transportation business, during the restructuring of €1.6 billion of debt.
- Project Manager for the disposal of a business unit of a UK listed company: Michael drove negotiation and document preparation process.
- Programme Director for a restructuring / offshoring programme, which succeeded in halving the time taken to fulfil customer orders, whilst significantly reducing operating costs.
- Crisis Manager of failing cross-business process: Michael led a team to redesign and implement a process which involved the renegotiation of supplier contracts and working practices.
- Finance Director of a €50 million regional subsidiary: implemented a turnaround plan resulting in 80% improvement in EBITDA within 12 months.
